Have you noticed how pro customer companies/products are getting more and more popular? Like Linux had only 2% desktop market share for quite a long time and it increased to 5% in less than a year thats crazy, or GOG getting more users this year.
People are starting to notice that privacy and openness are crucial parts of a good company or products and that the big 3 (Google, MS, Meta) are not in this category of companies.
I like to call these companies “Open Companies” because they are open to the customers and their feedback which I extremely appreciate. Another thing that happend today was that Bandcamp is now providing an open (subsonic based) API to stream their music with any music player that allows subsonic, giving user choice and freedom of what app to use (although they already allow you to download the music directly).
I just wanted to share that I'm thankful for the existence of these companies and them trying their best to provide great experiences to their customers. Openness is the key to success.
